Voice Recognition Package (Click Image for Details)
One of the things the Wacky Labs loves to do is find you a great deal. The manufacturer gets 50 bucks for the type-it-talk-it Ultra, not to mention the $200 or $300 for other VR products. We backpedalled to the standard version because most folks don't give a flip for the bells and whistles, then we thew out the box and bought the software and headsets separately and what you get is the same Microsoft 6.1 voice recognition engine, with the same identical headset, for under 20 buckaroos. Cheap is very fun! Also, although the headset is voice recognition certified (whatever that really means), it's just a pretty good headset, and if you have one already, don't buy this. Buy the software by itself and save some more. (That item should be close by)
Yes, we tested it thoughouly, and we like it. Check the details for our analysis.

Vivitar Mini-Camera (Click Image for Details)
We love this little guy cause we don't generally lug our 'good' camera everywhere we go, and so we have one in the car for 'emergencies'. It takes surprizingly good pictures, (up tp 243 of em depending on your quality setting) and even takes a few seconds of video. It also works as well as most web cameras. It's very sensitive in low light levels but it doesn't have the sophistiscated controls for very bright or odd lighting conditions, just ordinary, every day pics. A very nice affordable option or backup camera.

Voice recognition Software (Click Image for Details)
Yes, Martha, a fully functional voice recognition software package for under $10. Can it even work?? Yes, it works quite well, actually. This is the standard version of 'Talk-it-Type-it' voice recognition system, minus the headset, the fancy packaging, and the fancy price. It's the actual manufacturer's software and is perfectly legal. Disk is sealed and unregistered. It uses the microsoft 6.1 voice recognition engine, and if you have at least an average quality headset, it will work quite nicely. If you don't have a headset, there should be a listing nearby which includes the headset normally sold with this package, and it's only $19.95 for both.

Cyber Acoustics Monaural Headset/Mic (Click Image for Details)
This here is a good quality, light weight, noise cancelling headset with microphone, to use for talking on your puter or whatever. It's the same Cyber Acoustics (AC-100B) that's in the Type-It-Talk-it voice recognition package also sold here.

Email Voice Sender (Click Image for Details)
Here's sumthin pretty fun. It's a little unit aboit the size of a mouse that plugs into a USB port. You hit the 'record' button and record your message, then hit 'send' and it plops your MP3 voice file into an email as an attachment. An intermediate menu comes up unless you're using outlook, but in any case it's a very quick and simple way to 'talk' your email instead of typing it, or a voice memo or whatever. The only thing we found is that you really need to get within a foot or so of the unit or the record volume is pretty low, but it's no big deal to just pick it up and talk into it. Nice little device.

Alarm Clock Color Therapy? (Click Image for Details)
Those high intensity, multi-colored LED's are everywhere, so you knew they'd show up in your alarm clock. The whole clock glows and transitions to new colors slowly (about every 4 seconds). Is that important? Not really, but it's kinda fun. You can set the color changing to be continuous or so that the color comes on for a few seconds when you tap the clock. The maker would have you believe it's color therapy, but we're not gonna 'go there'. It has 8 built in alarm sounds, it's bright enough to be a nite lite and a good size (3" square) and very readable. It also gives you the temperature. Is that important? Not really, but...

LED shower head temp sensor (Click Image for Details)
I highly recommend turning off the lights when you shower. This shower head puts out more than enough light to see....whatever, and it changes from green to blue to red as the water gets hotter, (seems like it should go blue, green red, but...you know....it doesn't) and all three fall within a reasonable showering temp range, although the red is a bit toasty for this tender skin. No fancy pulsing action or nuthin, but the head is wide and produces a nice stream. The coolest part is that it's powered by a tiny water turbo generator, so no batteries or nuthin.

Mini Round Portable Calculator (Click Image for Details)
I know it's just wrong, but it reminds me of an M&M. This is the fun way to calculate. It has those critical memory, percent and square root functions we all love too.
